WANTED - Hockey House Stories

Hockey House
What does the phrase “hockey house” bring to mind?

“Hockey House” it is the epitome/ quintessential representation of being part of the hockey community – anywhere.
Shared space, shared experiences, shared responsibilities, territory to defend, independence/freedom, “brothers”, fraternity of sorts, respect and protection of each other, dependence on each other on and off the ice, trust.
Dirty dishes, loud music, crazy parties, party games, video games, smelly hockey gear...

Autumn – new faces, old friends, adjusting/readjusting to redefined relations on and off the ice, building trust, integrating and reintegrating, settling into new patterns, intense practices

Winter – Hunker down – study, train and play, study, train and play, push toward league playoffs, qualify for national tournaments, maybe last career game.

Springtime – end of hockey season, outdoors, relaxed, end of school, possible end of career

What is the ideal hockey house?
