“Syracuse’s unofficial hockey representatives completed their first season of competition with a 3-2-1 record. The team, which operated without University sanction, played all its games at the War Memorial. Organized by Dick VanWinkle and headed by captain Steve Bernia, the squad is attempting to get University support for the 1961-1962 campaign”
